Yesterday’s Bulletin included a letter to the editor which began… “I moved to Bend for a job, joining Columbia Aircraft (then The Lancair Company) back in 2004. My wife and I figured out pretty quickly that we had lucked out on a place to live — often running into folks who relocated to Bend after considering numerous other….”

Thanks to all the community members that joined our public conversation yesterday with Delore Zimmerman. The day was very productive and it was exciting to hear the breadth and depth of the feedback from all of the participants.

Join the Deschutes Economic Alliance to continue our conversation about the development of a vision for the economic future of Deschutes County – a vision that builds on our regional strengths, but provides greater economic stability for sustainable growth. Delore Zimmerman of the Praxis Strategy Group and Bill Watkins, Executive Director of the Center for Economic Research and Forecasting at Cal Lutheran University will discuss their initial findings based on economic research and discussions with many people from throughout the County. They will engage participants in a discussion about possible solutions to help alleviate the economic conditions that have so adversely affected the region and its people.
